Terms, License, and Refund Policy

Overview

These terms apply to the Blipty website, downloads, trial, purchases, license keys, and macOS app. By using Blipty or buying a license, you agree to these terms.

Trial and Purchase

• Blipty includes a free recording trial so you can test the app in your real workflow.
• After the trial, Blipty offers a one-time paid license through Stripe. Blipty is not a subscription.
• OpenAI API usage is not included in the Blipty license. You use your own OpenAI API key and pay OpenAI directly for API usage.

License

When you buy Blipty, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Blipty macOS app for personal or business work. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, reverse engineer, or use Blipty to build a competing product.

Keep your license key private. Blipty may verify the license email, license key, Stripe payment status, and activation details to confirm that the license is valid.

System Requirements and Permissions

Blipty requires macOS 14 or newer. Dictation, insertion, and workflow features require microphone and Accessibility permissions. Some apps may limit direct text insertion; when that happens, Blipty may preserve the result through clipboard or history fallback features.

OpenAI API Key

Blipty uses your own OpenAI API key for transcription, cleanup, translation, and related AI features. You are responsible for your OpenAI account, API key, usage charges, and compliance with OpenAI's terms.

Refund Policy

If Blipty does not work in your Mac workflow, contact support within 14 days of purchase at blipty.hello@gmail.com. Include the email used at checkout and a short description of the issue.

Refund requests are reviewed case by case. Blipty may ask for reasonable troubleshooting details before a refund is issued. Refunds may be declined for abuse, fraud, chargeback misuse, or requests made long after purchase.

Acceptable Use

Do not use Blipty to violate laws, infringe others' rights, distribute malware, bypass access controls, harass others, or process information you are not allowed to process.

No Warranty

Blipty is provided as is. Speech recognition, text cleanup, translation, app insertion, and third-party services may be imperfect or unavailable. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it.

Changes

Blipty may update the app, website, pricing, trial terms, or these terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
