Overview

Blipty is a macOS dictation utility that turns speech into finished text. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the Blipty website, download the app, buy a license, activate a license, or contact support.

Information We Process

• Website usage data, such as pages viewed, downloads started, checkout status, device and browser details, and approximate location derived from network data.
• Purchase and license data, including your checkout email, Stripe Checkout Session ID, payment status, license key, and license activation details.
• Support messages you send to blipty.hello@gmail.com, including your email address and message content.
• App setup information needed for local operation, such as your OpenAI API key stored in macOS Keychain and the permissions you grant on your Mac.

Speech, Text, and OpenAI

Blipty uses your own OpenAI API key for transcription, cleanup, and translation features. Your OpenAI API key is stored locally in macOS Keychain. Dictated audio, transcripts, cleanup prompts, custom terms, and translated output may be sent to OpenAI from the app when you use those features. Blipty does not need your OpenAI account password.

Payments and License Delivery

Payments are processed by Stripe. Blipty does not receive your full card number. After payment, Blipty uses Stripe payment status to create and verify your license key. If configured, Blipty uses Resend to email your license key and download link.

Cookies, Local Storage, and Analytics

Blipty uses essential storage for security, checkout, and remembering your cookie preference. Optional analytics and advertising measurement are used only when you allow them in the cookie banner.

Optional analytics may include Amplitude analytics and session replay to understand site behavior, downloads, checkout flow, and product interest. Advertising measurement may include Google Ads conversion measurement and campaign attribution after the Google tag is configured.

You can change your choice at any time by using Cookie settings.

How We Use Information

• Provide downloads, checkout, licenses, and support.
• Verify purchases and license activations.
• Improve the website, trial flow, and app experience.
• Measure advertising performance when you consent.
• Protect against fraud, abuse, and security issues.

Service Providers

Blipty relies on service providers including Stripe for payments, Resend for license email delivery, OpenAI for transcription and language features when you use your API key, Amplitude for optional product analytics, Google for optional advertising measurement, and Vercel or similar hosting providers for website delivery.

Retention

Purchase, license, and support records are kept as long as needed to provide the product, handle support, comply with legal obligations, and prevent abuse. Optional analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of the analytics provider.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, including in the EEA or UK, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal data. You can also withdraw optional cookie consent at any time.
